Recent post by Samsung on its Israel Facebook Page states that most expected Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) update to begin rolling out in the Samsung Galaxy S II on March 15 2012.
"We promised that we are working about that. You have waited patiently. And it's coming in March 15th: Android version 4, ICS, for tens of thousands of the Galaxy S2 owners that purchased it from the cellular company in Israel or directly from us. We are very excited in here towards the launch, hope that you too," Samsung wrote on its Facebook account.
Samsung is expected to roll out the update in stages; therefore some users could obtain the update later March 15. The Galaxy S 2 users, however, can also upgrade to the ICS manually via Odin, after the official ROMs are released.
