Apple made it official by announcing an iPad-related event for March 7. Apple sent out invitations to news media on Tuesday with an image showing part of an iPad screen. The event, which has the tagline "We have something you really have to see. And touch", will take place at the Yerba Buena Centre for the Arts in San Francisco at 10:00 AM next week, where Apple holds larger promotion events.
Still, they didn’t provide any details on the new device, but iPad 3 is anticipated to be equipped with a Retina Display, an updated processor and cameras, and possible 4G LTE connectivity.
Apple has sold 55 million iPads since the device first launched, in 2010, and sees it as a key product for the future. Tim Cook, Apple's chief executive, recently told a conference that he anticipates tablet computers to eventually overtake PCs.
So, Let’s wait and see what they are going to unveil on iPad 3.
